Description

Photographed in rural Hungary, this aerial frame isolates the medieval church ruins known as Pusztatorony, often referred to locally as a “puszta temple” ruin. The land is not just background here. The field becomes anatomy. A pale oval forms around the structure like an iris, the track line reads like a vein, and the ruin sits at the center as the pupil.

The strength is the restraint. One subject, one dominant shape, no distractions. The surrounding textures do the work, turning history into a graphic statement. What remains of a 13th century early Gothic site becomes a marker in a sea of grain and soil, small enough to feel fragile and sharp enough to feel permanent.
