Description
Photographed in London, this frame strips The Standard’s façade down to what it really is: a disciplined, Brutalist grid engineered for repetition. The concrete bays read like stamped modules, each window recessed and boxed, while the rounded rooftop rooms sit above the pattern like four clean “capsules” staring back at the city.
The image works because it stays brutally simple. No skyline, no context, no distraction, just the architecture’s cadence and weight. One small human figure inside the grid becomes the anchor. It gives scale and tension out breaking the structure’s cold order. The edit is kept tight: controlled midtones, hard edges, and blacks deep enough to make the geometry feel carved, not merely photographed.
